      I have always believed I had a wild creativity, an insane imagination filled with crazy-wonderful characters and ideas.
\n      Sometimes, however, it feels like I’ve run dry.
\n      Not really.
\n      Characters abound.
\n      Ideas abound.
\n      But plotlines… they seem scarce these days.
\n      Those who have read my pieces in the past may ask – what do you mean “these days”? You’ve always been heavy on character and light on plot. But… I don’t know. I have these four characters on my table at the moment and I am excited about them – truly. I know them intimately and want so badly to write about them… but can I just write one long character study and call it a fantasy novel?
\n      Um…
\n      No.
\n      So what is the story<\/i>? How do all these wonderful characters come together and what happens to them?
\n      I’ve been mulling over what makes a “plot” lately. Mostly, because one of my idols has written a novel that – admittedly, has mixed reviews on Amazon – I love. It is a novel in which nothing much happens, yet the series of events have me on the edge of my seat and I am so excited to find out how Book One ends, then Book Two, and so on!
\n      My most recent novel was similar. Things happened, a slow build-up of events. But after an initial action sequence, things were very… well, they were developing…
\n      And then there was a burst of activity at the end, and a few “actiony” sequences scattered throughout, but over all… I felt like for all that was happening, nothing was happening.
\n      None of my beta readers thought so. But… self-conscious was I.
\n      Am I.
\n      Anyway – I suppose the only thing to do for it is to write it and the edit it and get opinions. Yes?
\n      So, away I go. Ready to write more and more!
\n      Its time to flex those imagination muscles; to push them to their limits, to find out what I am really made of – creativity-wise.
\n      Imaginary friends, here I come!<\/p>\n
