New Year

Mark & I spent the New Year, as we so frequently spend evenings, together. We were hanging out, snacking on the traditional fare of salami, cheese & crackers, sipping (okay, we might have chugged it) sparkling cider, watching movies, laughing.
It was pretty low-key for our first anniversary, but since we couldn’t afford to do the BIG celebration we dreamed, we settled for the next best thing – no stress and lots of love.
2014 is going to be a good year.
I can tell already. It is going to bring change and it is going to be scary sometimes, but it will be good. It is already bringing babies – my cousin’s daughter made her a grandmother early this morning – and there are more on the way. Not mine, of course, but maybe a new nibling from the Vann side or, if their prayers are answered, the Albert side. And a few friends have already discovered that they will become parents in 2014!
One of my favorite people on the interwebs, Meghan Tonjes, is writing a book. One of my favorite writers in the world, is publishing another new book. One of my favorite husbands is going to embark on a new educational adventure.
I want another puppy in 2014, but that seems unlikely at the moment. Still, a girl can dream.
And yes, I want a baby, if it is possible.
And yes, I want to publish one of my novels.
And yes, I want to keep writing, more writing, all the writing!
      *ahem*
      Happy January 1st, 2014.
Hope you see all your resolutions though, and that you don’t beat yourself up too much if they don’t.
Hope I manage to get my health and weight under control at last.
Pray for me, I’ll pray for you.

Signed, Josie
