S&S: Epilogue

Today’s snippet, titled “Epilogue”, is a piece I wrote about my PC in Paul’s new pirate themed Pathfinder Campaign.
Be forewarned, there may be mature themes and naughty language below.

Captain Faur put most of the crew off in Ilizmagorti. He took six days to bury his wife, regain his bearings, and off-load cargo. Red and Lorenzo cooled their heels in a cheap dockside inn and spoke very little. There was not a lot that could be said about the whole mess. Lorenzo felt guilty that he had not acted faster, but also angry that he had been forced to act at all. Red seemed rather unperturbed about the whole thing, though Lorenzo imagined he was proud to have freed some slaves. It was a good thing to have done.
      He sighed.
There was a storm coming. From the crow’s nest of the Screaming Mermaid – his favorite perch now that the coup was over – he closed his eyes and felt the wind on his face and just smelled it.
Brownbeak confirmed as much and sent him down to the hold. “Gonna be a biggin’ – URAAAAH.”
They would finally arrive in Port Peril within a day or two – weather dependent – and Lorenzo would make purchase of a ship of his own. Faedrin had given him the name of a contact and told him that if he wanted to hire someone to captain his boat, Skoob could hook him up with a skilled one.
It’s almost here. He thought, touching the map case at his hip. Finally. I will be rolling naked in more ancient coin than House Jaggere and all of the Taldorian houses combined! He rubbed his hands together gleefully. I can’t wait!
