Short Bus

I want to ride a short bus. Well, let me explain.
I want to buy a short bus.
I want to paint in Tangerine and Raspberry. Maybe with lovely Lime accents.
I want to outfit the interior with comfy beds and a kitchenette. Just enough storage for the necessities of travel (and the gaming books).
I want to load my husband and our puppy and a whole slew of notebooks & pens into the bus and roam the countryside, recording our adventures (real and fictional).
I want to be able to visit my sister, mother, brother-in-law and nephew in Las Vegas before driving to the Grand Canyon, just for funsies. Then cross the fly-over states, exploring little towns and making love whenever the mood strikes. I want to be able to visit our family in Ohio, and then stop over in Harrisburg to roll the bones with our friends here, then putter up to Maine and watch a storm roll in over the bay.
I want to drive to Oregon and dip my toes in the Pacific then take a tour of the Tillamook factory with Mark, and send cheese back to his Mom, who loves Tillamook as much as we do after just a tiny introduction to it!
I want to visit the weird, small, out-of-the-way amusement parks no one, outside the locals, even know about. I want to adopt a poor older kitty and watch her sun in the back window while we make our way to where ever.
I want to meet people. Little old ladies in Middle-of-Nowhere, Georgia and crazy, hippie artistés in New Mexico. I want to park at a random movie theater in some city in Wisconsin and see whatever is playing (hah! We did this when we drove truck and it was fun!)
I want adventure in the great, wide, somewhere…♫♪♫♪
      I want…
      I want a short bus.
