Today’s snippet, titled “The Charter du Phoenix Rising”, is a document I wrote for the PCs in my Pathfinder Campaign (the “Kingmaker” adventure path).

Here’s the brief write-up and a link to the PDF the players received. Imagine it printed on a parchment colored scroll with aged edges.
Waiting for the members of Rising Phoenix when they return to Oleg’s Fort – also now known, regionally, as Leveton – are seven carefully rolled parchments, each bearing the pale blue ribbon and white wax seal of Restov.
Each ribbon bears the name of a member of the Charter in careful calligraphy: Gavriil Matav Abraxis, Alexis Natalya Novakosky, Erin Anson, Rachel Azarova, Zehavah Lighteye, Ryven Wanderwood, and – perhaps surprisingly – Ava Blue-Elk Kozik.
The document is obviously a pre-written document, standardized for the city-state of Restov, but it bears a delicate hand in a few blank spots where some one with a graceful script has written-in the details such as the company name, the date, and the names of the members.
It has been signed and witnessed by Sheriff Lev Saine and Reeve Kliment Roget and looks entirely official. A beautifully hand-painted likeness of the stylized phoenix sigil each member now bears as a cloak pin has been rendered in the lower right corner, with an official stamp seal of Restov on the lower-left.
Its a funny little thing; they are slightly beholden to the Sword-Lords of Restov, but also to the crown in New Stetven, but they’re also… very… independent. The players are loving this game and guess what? I am FUCKING loving it too!
